MATT BEHNEY

BIO
Matt is the CEO and Co-Founder of Compass Tax. Matt has over a decade of experience working in the area of tax and finance. Matt is an IRS Enrolled Agent and he studied at Liberty University. He has experience in the areas of tax audit, tax preparation, tax resolution, tax compliance, and more. In the past, Matt has been an expert witness on the topic of personal income tax. At Compass Tax, Matt works with the IRS to get clients resolution. Matt analyzes financials, prepares resolutions, prepares tax returns, and represents clients who are in collections, with a Revenue Officer, or in appeals.
Matt has lived most of his life in Central Pennsylvania, but has also called Virginia and Maryland home. Matt is a father of 4, an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan, loves soccer, and plays the bass guitar.

Derek is the CFO and Co-Founder of Compass Tax. Derek has a B.S. in Economics and Finance from West Chester University and a M.S. in Tax and Financial Planning from Widener University. Derek has over a decade of experience in the realm of tax and finance. At Compass Tax, Derek handles accounts payable, and also serves clients with financial analysis, resolution, tax preparation, tax audit, and more.
Derek has lived most of his life in Central Pennsylvania. Derek is a father of 2, enjoys soccer and The Beatles, is a fan of the Washington Redskins, and enjoys a good cup of coffee.
